Sister Rosalia Cobey Award Winner
Congratulations to Leesa McNally (Therapy Services Coordinator), recipient of the Sister Rosalia Cobey Award for 2009; and to Shivon Konink (Health, Safety and Education Coordinator) the runner-up! A moving ceremony was held at 1400 hours on November 3rd in Jeanne Mance Hall. Both recipients are invited to attend the Annual Conference of the Catholic Health Alliance of Canada which will be held in Toronto on April 30 to May 2nd. In addition, Leesa will receive $1,000 for educational purposes.
Mr. Richard Abell, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, was Master of Ceremonies and Sister Patricia Cuddihy, Secretary-Treasurer of the Board, assisted. Profiles were read or each of the nominees by Mrs. Bonnie Ruest, Executive Director. These narratives have been copied on the next few pages. We are truly fortunate to have such wonderful, dedicated, and giving people in our midst. Congratulations to fellow nominees Diane Martin, Doreen Seguin and Lorraine Wintle, for you are all winners! For those who put forward the nominations, your benevolence is greatly appreciated.
Service Awards
Following the Sister Cobey Award, Service Awards were presented to staff. Congratulations to all recipients. The service awards represent 97 staff members who have provided 1260 years of service!
